Abstract

Objetivou-se neste trabalho caracterizar as taxas fotossintéticas, transpiração, condutância estomática, uso eficiente da água e o efeito da aclimatação pelo longo tempo de exposição à alta [CO2] em plantas de soja (Glycine max). O experimento foi realizado entre novembro de 2011 a março de 2012, com a cultivar de soja BRS Valiosa RR. Todas as plantas foram cultivadas em câmaras de topo aberto (OTC), com os tratamentos: T1 plantas cultivadas com alta [CO2]; e T2 - plantas cultivadas com [CO2] ambiente. Foram realizadas cinco medições da taxa fotossintética máxima (Amax), transpiração (E) e condutância estomática (gs), com as aclimatações fotossintética e estomática determinadas entre as 2ª e 5ª medições, pela troca da exposição da [CO2] do ambiente das plantas. A eficiência do uso da água (WUE) foliar foi determinada pela razão entre Amax e E. O delineamento experimental foi em blocos casualizados, com quatro repetições. A análise de variâncias foi realizada pelo teste de F (p < 0,05) e a pelo teste de Tukey (p < 0,05). As Amax foram maiores para T1, assim como as menores gs e E, determinando melhor WUE. Em exposição a [CO2] ambiente, T1 apresentou menores Amax e pior WUE do que T2. Contudo em exposição a alta [CO2], T2 apresentou maiores Amax, denotando uma aclimatação fotossintética. A soja apresenta incrementos na taxa fotossintética e na eficiência do uso da água, como também redução na taxa de transpiração em atmosfera enriquecida com CO2. Porém, em contrapartida, devido ao longo de tempo de exposição à alta [CO2] as plantas apresentam aclimação fotossintética, porém não apresentam aclimatação estomática.
