Abstract

Introdução: A infecção pelo vírus SARS-CoV-2 iniciada em dezembro de 2019, na cidade Wuhan, na China, se espalhou pelo globo rapidamente e, apesar de mais de 6 milhões de mortes, muitos casos evoluíram para a cura, os quais permaneceram apresentando diversos sinais e sintomas. Objetivo: Caracterizar os sinais e sintomas persistentes das sequelas da Covid-19 em pessoas infectadas que evoluíram para cura. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura realizada a partir da pergunta norteadora “Como a literatura tem abordado os sinais e sintomas persistentes das sequelas da Covid-19 em pessoas infectadas pelo SARS-CoV-2 que evoluíram para a cura?” nas bases de dados da Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS), Medical LiteraturyAnalysisandretrieval System Online/ PubMed (MEDLINE) e EMBASE (Elsevier). Como critério de inclusão utilizou-se artigos primários, publicados no período entre 2020 e 2021, idiomas português, inglês e espanhol; e foram excluídos, os estudos duplicados, revisões, cartas, declarações, recomendações, comentários e editoriais. Resultados: Embora tenha sido identificado o acometimento nos diferentes órgãos e sistemas, verificou-se predomínio de sequelas no sistema nervoso central (insônia, parestesia e visão turva), respiratório (fadiga), cardiovascular (arritmia), gastrointestinal (diarreia e vômito) e musculoesquelético e dermatológico (mialgia e alopecia).Conclusão: O acompanhamento longitudinal dos casos de Covid-19 curados pode auxiliar na compreensão do mecanismo de ação do vírus, além do planejamento de ações estratégicas para diminuir a gravidade das sequelas e, consequentemente, melhorar a qualidade de vida daqueles que foram infectados
