Abstract

A síndrome dos ovários policísticos é a desordem endócrina mais comum em mulheres na idade reprodutiva. É constituída por um espectro de apresentações clínicas e está associada à obesidade, resistência à insulina, síndrome metabólica e inflamação crônica de baixo grau. Frequentemente, está associada a outras doenças metabólicas. A doença hepática gordurosa não alcoólica (DHGNA), por sua vez, é considerada a manifestação hepática da síndrome metabólica, também inserida em um contexto de disfunções metabólicas e associa-se à síndrome dos ovários policísticos. Assim, esse projeto visa associar a presença de DHGNA em mulheres com ovários micropolicísticos através de exames ultrassonográficos. Trata-se de um estudo clínico, transversal com abordagem descritiva, realizado em um centro especializado em exames de imagem e laboratoriais de Aracaju-SE. O processo de coleta de dados foi dividido em 3 etapas e os dados obtidos foram compilados no programa Microsoft Office Excel versão 2016. O estudo foi aprovado por Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa. Foram analisados 48 pacientes do sexo feminino com idade entre 17 e 51 anos, sendo a mediana 30,8  anos. A maioria das pacientes não apresentavam esteatose hepática  (62,5%) e não apresentavam ovários micropolicísticos (54,2%)  Entretanto, 11  pacientes (22,91%) apresentavam ovários micropolicisticos e algum grau de esteatose hepática não gordurosa. Não houve associação estatisticamente significativa entre a presença de ovários micropolicísticos e gravidade da esteatose hepática gordurosa não alcoólica, muito embora a frequência da associação da DHGNA e ovários micropolicísticos foi semelhante à encontrada em outros estudos
