Abstract

Fraturas do complexo zigomático-orbitário (CZO) representam um dos desafios para o cirurgião bucomaxilofacial, pois podem gerar sequelas relevantes ao paciente devido a presença do deslocamento do corpo do osso zigomático e das paredes da órbita. O manejo básico destas fraturas se baseia na adequada exposição dos locais acometidos, redução dos segmentos fraturados visando o reestabelecimento das dimensões faciais pré-trauma e a fixação interna rígida. O objetivo deste trabalho é relatar um caso clínico de uma paciente vítima de fratura de CZO não tratada no momento adequado, evoluindo para sequela. A cirurgia necessitou de uma refratura do complexo zigomático orbitário, redução e a fixação interna através de mini-placas e parafusos via acessos extra orais e intra orais. O acompanhamento se deu por 12 meses após a alta hospitalar.
