Abstract

As infecções do trato urinário (ITUs) correspondem a uma das principais causas de consultas médicas, logo a presença de bactérias na urina de pelo menos 100.000 unidades formadoras de colônia por milímetro cúbico de urina é um preditor positivo para infecções do trato urinário. As ITUs são classificadas em baixas (cistite) e altas (pielonefrite), complicadas e não complicadas. Apresentam como principais agentes etiológicos as bactérias gram negativas, sendo a Escherichia coli a mais prevalente.  Nesse sentido, o objetivo desse estudo foi identificar os microrganismos mais prevalentes associados a cistite de pacientes internados em um hospital público no município de Anápolis, caracterizar a prevalência em relação às subáreas hospitalares, assim como identificar o perfil de sensibilidade e resistência aos antimicrobianos padronizados pela unidade hospitalar. Assim, foi realizado um estudo observacional, analítico, qualiquantitativo, retrospectivo e longitudinal, com a análise de antibiogramas e prontuários de pacientes internados com cistite no período de janeiro 2016 a dezembro 2017. Os resultados mostraram que a cistite é mais prevalente em mulheres independentemente da idade, e menos frequentes nos homens, os quais apresentaram uma média de idade mais elevada. A Escherichia coli foi a bactéria de maior prevalência nas alas hospitalares, exceto na Unidade de Terapia Intensiva (UTI), em que a Klebsiela pneumoniae foi a mais prevalente. O perfil de sensibilidade variou conforme a bactéria analisada, no entanto, a maioria dos uropatógenos foram resistentes a ciprofloxacino, que configura o antibiótico mais utilizado de forma empírica para o tratamento das cistites.
