Abstract

A proposta do trabalho foi avaliar o engajamento e atitude de estudantes de graduação em fonoaudiologia e biomedicina com relação ao método de aprendizagem passiva (AP) tradicional e o método de aprendizagem baseada em equipes (ABE). Para tanto, 83 estudantes participaram de aulas tradicionais de AP ou fizeram estudo autônomo prévio a aula conforme preconizado pelo ABE. Após, os alunos foram submetidos a dois questionários, um sobre auto avaliação do engajamento e atitudes e outro sobre a preferência entre os métodos AP e ABE. Com relação a auto avaliação dos estudantes sobre o seu engajamento e atitudes, foi notado um maior engajamento dos estudantes do curso de fonoaudiologia comparado aos estudantes do curso de biomedicina. De forma geral, todos os estudantes tiveram uma preferência maior pelo método ABE comparado ao método de AP tradicional. Estes resultados corroboram com estudos prévios mostrando que as aulas em formato ABE foram mais apreciadas pelos estudantes e eles sentiram que essas aulas somaram conhecimentos através de aulas mais ativas. Concluímos que os estudantes apresentaram maior preferência pelo método ABE comparado ao método tradicional de aprendizagem passiva, independentemente do tipo de aula ao qual eles foram expostos previamente
