Utilização da classificação internacional da funcionalidade, incapacidade e saúde (CIF) na funcionalidade de idosos: levantamento bibliométrico / Use of the international classification of functioning, disability and health (ICF) in the functionality of the elderly: bibliometric survey

Objetivo: Delinear a caracterização da produção científica referente a funcionalidade de idosos, considerando a CIF como instrumento norteador, integrando as publicações produzidas nos últimos 10 anos. Métodos: A busca dos artigos se deu por meio de bases de dados internacionais: Pubmed, Web of Science e Medline; e a análise se concentrou na identificação dos autores, tipo de estudo, ano de publicação, periódico, qualis, fator de impacto e local da realização do estudo. Resultados: Foram encontrados 3.743 artigos; destes, apenas 22 compuseram o corpo documental. Dentre os estudos analisados, somente 5 classificaram de forma integral a funcionalidade dos idosos utilizando todos os componentes da CIF, os demais classificaram componentes de forma isolada. Além disso, verificou-se também que o número de publicações acerca do tema apresentou uma queda após o ano de 2015. Conclusão: Considerando o constante aumento do envelhecimento populacional têm-se a necessidade de avaliar, planejar e implementar estratégias de reabilitação com base na funcionalidade. Dessa forma é necessário fortalecer e incentivar o uso desse instrumento como parte do processo direcionado ao idoso.
