Abstract

O câncer de mama é o tipo mais freqüente entre as mulheres, sendo a patologia responsável pelo maior número de óbitos no mundo todo. Estima-se que no ano de 2018 cerca de 2,1 milhões de mulheres foram diagnosticadas e mais de 600 mil perderam suas vidas pela doença. No Brasil, o câncer de mama é a patologia maligna mais incidente na população feminina, sendo que nos anos de 2018 e 2019, foi estimada a ocorrência de cerca de 60.000 novos casos, com um taxa de 56,33 casos para cada 100 mil mulheres. Os miRNAs são pequenas moléculas de RNAs não codificantes, com cerca de 19 a 25 nucleotídeos que atuam na regulação gênica e estão intimamente ligados a diversas patologias como doenças neurodegenerativas e o câncer. O microRNA 21(miR-21) é codificado por um gene localizado na região 17q23.1, é um dos microRNAs que apresenta expressão aumentada em diversos tipos de tumores sólidos, sendo considerado um oncomiR chave na carcinogênese, e a ação do miR-21 como oncomiR no câncer de mama foi demonstrada em diversos estudos. O gene que codifica o miR-155 localiza-se na região 21 do braço longo do cromossomo 21 (21q21) e é chamado BIC (Classe de Integração das Células B). Estudos realizados demonstram que o miR-155 está relacionado com o desenvolvimento do câncer de mama, sendo observada maior expresão dele em celulas tumorais ou em fluidos corporais de pacientes.. Este estudo teve como objetivo analisar a relação dos miRNAs 21 e 155 com o carcinoma de mama. A pesquisa da literatura foi realizada considerando os preceitos de utilização dos materiais para o desenvolvimento da pesquisa; embasada em artigos de revisão sistemática, relatos de casos e artigos originais, utilizou-se como base de dados, Medline, Scielo, PubMed, Annual Reviews, Elsevier. De acordo com a análise realisada neste estudo, podemos concluir que os miRNAs 21 e 155, enontram-se híperexpressos no carcinoma de mama, podendo assim, serem considerados alvos candidatos a silenciamento genético.
