Abstract

As Miopatias Inflamatórias Idiopáticas são um grupo de doenças autoimunes que se caracterizam por fraqueza muscular proximal. Elas têm relevância não apenas pela sua raridade, mas por apresentar sintomatologia extra muscular comum a diversas entidades clínicas, como artralgia, dispepsia e doença intersticial pulmonar, o que pode retardar o diagnóstico, agravando o prognóstico do paciente. O relato apresentado tem sintomatologia inespecífica, dificultando o diagnóstico de miosite, que foi pensado como hipótese diagnóstica devido à elevação das transaminases.
