Abstract

Objetivo: identificar evidências na literatura sobre a queda de recém-nascidos em ambiente hospitalar. Método: Foi realizada busca online nas bases de dados CINAHL, COCHRANE, Embase, LILACS, Pubmed, SCOPUS e Web of Science, com a utilização dos descritores acidentes por quedas, gestão da segurança, recém-nasciso. Foram incluídas publicações a qualquer momento, nos idiomas português, inglês ou espanhol, abordando as quedas de recém-nascidos em ambiente hospitalar. Resultados: foram recuperadas 234 referências, das quais 11 foram incluídas nesta revisão, após exclusão das duplicatas e utilizando os critérios de inclusão. As quedas avaliadas nos estudos ocorreram mais comumente nas primeiras horas da manhã e com a mãe segurando o recém-nascido. Os estudos relataram as principais características das quedas em recém-nascidos e enfatizaram a redução da ocorrência de quedas após a implantação de protocolos e orientações adequadas aos pais e profissionais de saúde. Conclusão: os resultados refletem a importância de ações com ênfase na notificação, prevenção e manejo das quedas de recém-nascidos, a utilização de formulários padronizados e educação dos pais e profissionais de saúde.
