Abstract

A neurodinâmica tem adquirido relevância no estudo das lesões músculo-esqueléticas. O Upper Limb Neurodynamic Test 1 (ULNT1) é um dos testes mais usados na prática clínica. Este estudo tem como objetivo descrever as respostas normais do teste ULNT1 em indivíduos jovens e assintomáticos. Concluíram 51 indivíduos (13 do género masculino), com uma média de idade 20,8 (± 2,11) anos, e um índice de massa corporal de 21,61 (± 2,62) Kg/m2. Em média, os participantes do género masculino, consideravam o ponto de tolerância ao teste aos 158° na extensão do cotovelo para o membro dominante e 153° para o membro não dominante. Os participantes do género feminino, em média, consideravam o ponto de tolerância ao teste aos 154° na extensão do cotovelo para o membro dominante e 151° para o membro não dominante. A sensação mais reportada depois da dor, foi a sensação de alongamento para 85% dos participantes do género masculino, e 95% para o membro dominante e 97% para o membro não para os participantes do género feminino. Por outro lado, as respostas sensoriais, aparentemente não ocorrem somente na área de distribuição do nervo mediano, mas também em outras áreas, o que demostra alguma variabilidade e individualidade na distribuição dos sintomas.
