Abstract

O objetivo deste estudo é de avaliar a prevalência de dor nas regiões alvo de lesões em médicos ultrassonografistas. Foram pesquisadas as bases de dados virtuais MEDLINE, Cochrane Library, Bio­Med Central SciELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online), LILACS (Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde), BVS (Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde) e PubMed. As palavras-chave utilizadas foram: Ultra-sonografista, Sintomas músculo-esqueléticos relacionados ao trabalho e Distúrbios osteomusculares relacionados ao trabalho. Os estudos demonstraram a grande relação entre as atividades desenvolvidas pelos médicos ultrassografistas e lesões em ombro, pescoço, braço, cotovelo, mão, punho. Apesar das técnicas de prevenção de dor que vem sendo empregadas ao longo dos anos, vem permanecendo altas as taxas de lesões entre os ultrassonografistas. Para a melhora desse quadro, mais atenção ao ambiente e ao layout de trabalho, além das técnicas de ergonomia, devem ser empregados.
