Intervenções direcionadas ao sobrepeso e obesidade infantil: uma revisão narrativa / Interventions targeting childhood overweight and obesity: a narrative review

INTRODUÇÃO: A Organização Mundial da Saúde (OMS) refere a obesidade como um dos maiores problemas de saúde pública no mundo. Em 2025, projeta-se que 700 milhões de adultos estejam obesos e pelo menos 2,3 bilhões se encontrem com sobrepeso. O sobrepeso e a obesidade infantil compreendem importantes contratempos para a manutenção destas estimativas futuras. DESENVOLVIMENTO: Muito se produziu no que concerne a novos estudos acerca de intervenções na obesidade infantil em todo o mundo, resultando em um grande compêndio de trabalhos em diferentes bases de dados. Tendo em vista esta abundância de material, faz-se necessária a produção de artigos com o objetivo de sintetizá-los qualitativamente para melhor análise dos investigantes da área. Esta revisão narrativa foi baseada na pesquisa de trabalhos publicados em revistas de considerável relevância científica. CONCLUSÃO: É perceptível que houve um grande avanço na produção científica acerca da obesidade infantil nos últimos anos. Foram apresentados, resumidamente, os principais marcos das pesquisas com relação ao sobrepeso e obesidade infantil. As perspectivas futuras são de aumento no desenvolvimento de produções desta linha de pesquisa, a fim de refrear o avanço da obesidade.
