Abstract

Otimização robusta é uma abordagem para modelar problemas em que considera-se a presença de incertezas. Neste contexto, o projetista visa determinar soluções que são ideais para o pior caso considerado (com incertezas). Tradicionalmente, o problema de otimização com incerteza é convertido em um determinístico equivalente, denominado de robusto, utilizando argumentos de dualidade e, em seguida, resolvido por meio de algoritmos de otimização convencionais. Na presente contribuição, os algoritmos de Evolução Diferencial e Multiobjective Optimization Differential Evolution (MODE) são associados com o conceito de média efetiva para a inserção de robustez. Para avaliar a metodologia proposta, dois estudos de caso são considerados. O primeiro consiste na determinação dos parâmetros de equações constitutivas no processo de secagem da maçã. Já o segundo considera o projeto de um secador rotativo. Os resultados obtidos demonstram que a metodologia proposta configure-se como uma abordagem interessante para a resolução de problemas de otimização robustos.
