Abstract

Objetivo: realizar uma revisão sistemática sobre a associação entre dieta, eixo intestino-cérebro e os transtornos de humor: ansiedade e depressão. Métodos: Trata-se de uma revisão sistemática, com busca nas bases de dados National Library of Medicine (MEDLINE/PubMed), Literatura Latino Americana e do Caribe em Ciência da Saúde (LILACS), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) e Google Scholar, incluindo artigos nos idiomas em português e inglês, publicados entre o período de 2008 a 2020. Para a seleção dos artigos, utilizou-se as seguintes palavras-chave: Microbiota, Dieta, Probióticos, Ansiedade e Depressão. Resultados: Dos 125 artigos selecionados, restaram 38. A literatura atual tem um enfoque maior a fisiologia da comunicação entre o intestino e cérebro, o que pode alterar essa comunicação, como exemplo, as doenças inflamatórias crônicas e causar alteração no humor. Muitos estudos enfatizam os macronutrientes que podem conduzir inflamação intestinal. Além disso, mostram que indivíduos que consumiram dieta balanceada com o uso de probióticos, apresentaram resultados positivos na diminuição dos sintomas de depressão e ansiedade. Algumas bactérias intestinais e metabólitos como os ácidos graxos conjugados, que estimula a produção de bifidobacterium, aumentando à permeabilidade da parede intestinal e contribuindo beneficamente para saúde mental do indivíduo. Conclusão: As evidências apontam para uma modulação do Eixo-microbiota-intestino-cérebro, visto que, tem reflexo nas emoções do indivíduo. Além disso, os dados dos estudos mostram que a probióticos na dieta podem diminuir sintomas dos transtornos de humor, evitando outros tipos de tratamentos que possam agravar patologia no trato gastrointestinal.
