Abstract

Nesta pesquisa, discute-se a suplementação de luz de LED na faixa fotossintetizante para o amadurecimento de peras (Pyrus communis L.) da variedade Williams após a colheita. Foi utilizada a luminária LED GROW UP UTILUZ durante os 6 dias do estudo. A luminária possui lâmpadas de LED vermelhas (650 nm) e azuis (450 nm) na proporção de 2:1. Os resultados mostraram que a exposição contínua à luz na intensidade de 200 m mol m?2 s?1 por 6 dias foi capaz de acelerar o processo de amadurecimento da fruta. Este resultado foi comprovado pelas mudanças de coloração e pelo aumento de 25% na concentração de açúcares totais em relação à fruta deixada no escuro. Os resultados da pesquisa confirmaram a utilidade da iluminação com LED na intensidade de 200 m mol m?2 s?1 e nos comprimentos de onda do vermelho (650 nm) e do azul (450 nm), para promover o amadurecimento de peras Williams após a colheita.
