A gastrite é uma condição de alta prevalência em todo o mundo e sua atual terapêutica ainda mostra incertezas em relação à segurança no tratamento a longo prazo. Diante de tal realidade, opções auxiliares à terapia medicamentosa de distúrbios gastrointestinais, como a gastrite crônica e demais patologias inflamatórias, são um alvo significativo para pesquisa. O artigo aborda evidências levantadas em literatura que buscam encontrar eficácia da Aloe vera no tratamento da disfunção inflamatória relacionada a gastrite e a distúrbios gastrointestinais.
